“Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance..“ (Ezra 2:21)kjv
When we look at fasting prayer, there is a substance aspect to it. The aspects can be classified as follows: 1.humble ourselves, 2.for our self, 3.for the children, 4.for all, 5.to seek the right way.
First, we must raise our prayers to ourselves. In a life, we must pour out our hearts and cry out to God in His presence, surrendering our lives into God’s hands.
If our lives are correct, we can only speak of good and be an example to others; if you are blessed, you will be a blessed person for others.
When you say spiritual life, you mean our salvation, because we are obligated to preserve the salvation that God has given us.
Then comes the life of faith. Once a man is saved, he is referred to as a believer. To strengthen our faith, we must pray and spend time in God’s presence. and we must carry out God’s will.
God reveals us as loving gods, even in our daily lives. Are we showing the same love to others? Are we able to love others the way God loves us? Are we in a position and have a heart to pray for others?
Pray for God’s presence to abide in ones home.
If we are faithful to God, even in small ways, he will bless us abundantly.
Then there’s their children. Every parent bears the responsibility of raising their children in accordance with the will of God, and in order to do so, they must abide in the presence of God. Only then will future generations be blessed.
A parent must ensure that they stand firm for the truth and are a blessing to their family.
If we are in these aspects of substance, God will make certain that we are led in the right path.
