God is seeking for an opportunity to showcase his power among certain people.
God does not withhold his power, but instead reveals it through us.
Based on King Asa’s reign and life, this moral
When you look at King Asa’s life, you can see that God desires to demonstrate his power, he was told by a prophet that as long as you are with God, God would be with you.
His Kingdom was at peace, at the beginning of his reign, but the other nations were in trouble.
He reigned for 41 years, 36 years of which he was perfect before God, but when that the kingdom of Isreal divided into two kingdoms, he seeks another nation to seek help and to make a league with them, ending the league with the nations that oppose his kingdom.
But when the prophet warned him to rely on God and to seek aid from other countries, instead of returning to God, he took the prophet and imprisoned him.
Even with another caution, he was sick in his feet, and when his condition became unbearably severe, he sought not the Lord, but the physicians. He died in the 41st year of his reign, having begun well but ended poorly.
In the same manner that God occasionally corrects us, are we returning to God?
Humility comes in two forms.
1 We humble ourselves, saying, “Lord, I am a sinner, I am nothing but dust, I am not worthy,” but only to an extent.
2 With our residual humility, God will humiliate us in order to break in certain paths and set our life in correct order.
But even when God breaks us, we don’t want to be broken, So when God caused us to fail, instead of humbling ourselves, we began to blame God.
Have we done foolish things in our lives? Are we depending on God ?
May God grant us the grace to be humble and trust in him wholeheartedly, so that his works reveal his power and manifest in us.
