“And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.” (Jeremiah 21:8)kjv
God has directed us to walk the paths of life as they are purposeful and lead to eternal life.
In light of of God’s word, which path are we taking?“
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7: 13-14)kjv
Our God is a faithful God who will lead us to the path of life, but we must be faithful to him. If we follow him and listen to his word, our God will stablish us on the path of life.
“But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.” (2 Thessalonians 3: 3)kjv
If you look further into his faithfulness, he is our god who has called us, and he will do and he is able to keep us blameless until the end of our lives.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5: 23-24)kjv
What ever happened in our lives when God chose us to the path of life, we may have to take the straight path, but the path is narrow along the way, and in whatever temptations and trials we face along the way, we have to trust God because he is faithful to make a way that we will be able to bear as the word of God says“who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;”
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (I Corinthians 10 :13)kjv
We must sustain our faith that God is able of leading us on the path of life as he is a promise-keeping God.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:23)kjv
Let God grant us the grace to be faithful in our lives, as he is able of leading us to the way of life.
